So excited that El Porto gets it’s own Artwalk this Saturday, June 10 from 10 to 4. It will take place on Highland Avenue from 33rd St. to 40th Street. There will be 45 artists displaying beach/ocean themed art. I’m delighted to be one of them.
What a perfect place to show all of my El Porto paintings that I’ve accumulated over the last 2 years while I’ve embarked on landscape painting. I live in El Porto (North Manhattan Beach) and so it’s natural that I paint El Porto. Since I have two kids under 10, often I can only go as far as the end of the block to paint before I need to be back to help with bath-time. But I’m so grateful to live in such a beautiful and eclectic area. There is always something to inspire me, whether it’s a palm tree shadow on the side of a 100-year old beach cottage or the oil tankers glowing in the sunset light. I love everything about the area and I look forward to continuing to paint El Porto for many years to come!
